I've been reading comments on Facebook lately about P90X being hard. Now, I am not going to come out here and post that P90X is necessarily easy! It is definitely a program that will test you on a daily basis.
But, when I sit down and I consider what is truly hard, something completely different comes to mind.
Life in general is hard! Let's face it, if it were easy everyone would be successful without any worries. That just isn't reality though, is it?
Here is my personal definition of hard:
Hard is looking at your 18 month old daughter with her arms outreached, saying "Up, daddy!", and knowing that because of physical issues after a spinal injury, you can't pick her up.
Hard is listening to your niece and nephew say "Bye daddy!" as they close the lid on their dads casket.
Hard is helping your mother work through the untimely death of her youngest child
Hard is watching soldiers return from a warzone missing an arm or leg, or dealing with a head trauma that will affect them the rest of their life.
Hard is walking in the door after you been downsized, and wondering how you are going to keep your family afloat.
And, Hard is doing the right thing even when you know that it could cost you everything!
Working out and fitness may be difficult at times, but it is not hard! It is a decision you have to make for yourself everyday!
P90X may be an intense workout, but remember this. Anything worth having is worth the effort you put in to it!
If P90X is all the harder my life gets, I'll take it!
